Create It! - Hospital

I created a hospital for dolls and I am very excited to share it with all of you.

The doctor outfit was created by me.  I used McCalls Pattern #M7031 for the coat, and a pattern from this blog for the scrubs and hospital gown.

Most of the crafts I made myself, either being inspired by other crafts I found online or tutorials from the blog I posted above.

Without further ado, here is the photo shoot!

My new (well new-ish) doll!

I completely forgot to make a post and share that I got a new doll!

Meet Cassidy!

Cassidy001

I bought her off eBay, so she is a pre-loved dolly.  She is #39 and is probably my closest look-a-like doll now.

I knew I wanted to customize her, so decided on giving her blue highlights in her hair.  I decided to sew hair wefts into her hair to make them permanent.  I used the method in this video.  And these are the hair wefts I used.  If you want to do this method on your doll, remember it is quite permanent and very difficult to remove.

I absolutely adore this doll and can't wait to see what adventures we go on!

Create It! - Stage

I have always wanted Molly's Stage, but it was very expensive when it was released and it's quite expensive now since it's retired permanently.  So I made my own homemade modern version of it.  I love it.  And most of the supplies I used came from the Dollar Tree.
I glued two tri-folds together, back to back, that is how I created this look.

Anna Dress Photo Shoot

I loved the movie Frozen ever since I saw it in the theaters with my friends.  We stayed until the very end singing the songs and when the end credits scene with Marshmallow came on we were glad we stayed.

I knew I wanted to sew the dress Anna wore for most of the movie.  I also want to sew a few of the other dresses, but I didn't want to take on too much at one time.  So here is a photo shoot with Molly who modeled the dress perfectly.  If you wondered about what patterned I used, it is located on the Patterns tab at the top.

My Life As... - Movie Night Accessories

As I went searching the past few weeks, I have been trying to find this accessory pack, but alas I couldn't.  I ventured on to eBay and someone was selling it for a reasonable price.  Most people try to sell it for over $20, it is only about $7 in the stores, so I didn't want to pay any more than $5 more.  And the seller I bought it from had it reasonably priced, just had to pay shipping.

Anywhos, on to the accessory pack!

To be honest, I really wanted this set for the 3-D glasses and soda bottles.

American Girl Items!

I am lucky enough to have one of my local Toys R Us to have an American Girl section in the store.  I don't have an AG store close to me, it would take over four hours to get to one, so having a section in Toys R Us is insanely cool to me.

If you didn't know, American Girl is now being sold at some Toys R Us stores, for locations click on this link!

They currently just sell Wellie Wishers, Truly Me, and I believe will eventually have the 2017 Girl of the Year.  I am not sure about the last one, but I know they did have Lea, so hopefully they will have Gabriela too.

I bought three things and was so excited to see the section at Toys R Us.  When I checked out I even got an American Girl bag to have my purchases in.  It was a fun experience and I will hopefully be heading back to get a few more things when they rotate their products.

Anyways on to my purchases!

My Life As... - Doll Shopping Basket Review

My Life As... is a Walmart brand of 18 inch dolls.  The dolls are cute and they have lots of different sets for 18 inch dolls at reasonable prices.  I was hoping to find a different set, but couldn't find it.  The section at the store I went too was kind of bare.  I imagine it's quite popular because of the prices and fun sets they have.

I picked up the Doll Shopping Basket.  I don't have a lot of food for my dolls and this basket has the perfect sizes.  I do think I may want to get a second one because it comes with one of everything, but it's an adorable set.

Our Generation - Take A Letter Review!

I went on a small shopping spree a couple of weekends ago and bought a few doll things.  I am excited to share them with you!

Now when it comes to Our Generation, everyone knows it is a hit or miss when you go in the store.  So I went just see what they have.  I am fortunate enough to have multiple Targets in my area and I can usually go to either of them and find different sets.

I traveled to a further away one and I was hoping to find something (I will have a post on this later!), but I found another instead.  I found the Take A Letter set!  I was so excited, I love typewriters and we had one when I was younger that we used for fun.  So without further ado, here are a few pictures from the set.

Here is the product in the box.  I like how they package their products, you can see everything.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I crafted myself a kitchen for my dolls over the past few months and decided to use it in this photo shoot for Thanksgiving!  I will show you the kitchen later, but for now here are the pictures from the Thanksgiving photo shoot I had with my girls!

It's been a while...

Oops.  Long time no blog, he he.

Raising a puppy is a bit harder than we planned.  Our first corgi was very easy going and pretty easy to train, our second one, not as much.  I have to spend a lot of time making him understand our world while trying to understand his.  It may take a while, but I think it will be worth it in the end.

Anyways, I bought fabric for this project I am starting several months ago and want it finished by winter time.  That may be asking a lot of myself, but I think I can do it.

TA DA!

I have wanted to make this Anna costume for my doll for ages.  I bought the patterns almost two years ago.  So far I have cut out all the pattern pieces, which took quite a long time.  And I have cut out the fabric pieces for the bodice, skirt, and vest.  I am going to save the cloak and gloves for after I finish the dress portion.

I am very excited to get back into it.  I love sewing and have wanted to pick up a project, so I thought why not this one.  I will try to update as much as I can, as I work, but like I mentioned raising a puppy is tough and he will be my number one priority at the moment.

Have a wonderday!

Fun Finds - Meijer, Target, & Thrift Store!

I have been on the look out for dolly sized items and here is what I found.

I went to Meijer with my mom and while we were looking at the school supplies (yep school supplies!) and found these erasers.  I have seen some people charging $3 for one of these, so I was excited when I found this pack of 4 for $1!

They are the perfect size for American Girl or any other 18 inch dolls.

While I was at Target, I love looking in the clearance sections and went to the toy section and found this Snoopy figure set for $4.

I even kept the box for a background scene.  It's quite adorable.

Finally, the other day I went to Thrift Store and while I didn't find anything American Girl, I bought some baby clothes I hope to resize to fit my dolls.  Here they are!

I liked the quote on this one.

This shirt is from the Beijing Zoo in China, I thought it was too neat to pass up.

This dress reminded me a bit of Melody's dresses that has leaked.

I love superheroes and can't wait to make a doll shirt with this logo on it.

A Very Hungry Catipillar is one of my favorite childhood books and I had to have this shirt.

This little dress almost fits the dolls perfectly, just a few stitches and it will fit great.

I love the ruffles on this dress.

I loved the colors on this dress.

This dress was adorable with the bright flower pattern.

I adored this shirt with the ruffles on the sleeves.  I have actually already turned this into a shirt and put it on my doll.

I love plaid patterns, so I had to have this one.

I love music, so I thought I would use this shirt to make a shirt for my dolls.  Or two, it's a pretty good sized shirt.

While we took a walk through the home goods section I found this little rocking chair.  It is a bit small for my dolls, but it is a great piece.  I am in the process of sanding and repainting it right now.  It is looking great.

I hope you enjoyed, have a wonderday!

I have been working on this craft for the past few days and it's almost done, just a few more things to do.  Any guesses?

Have a wonderday!

Party City - Fun Finds!

I was out and about the other day and stopped by Party City to pick up something.  I walked over towards the party favors section and to my surprise there was dozens of items to pick from that were doll sized!

I only chose three items, but there was lots to pick from.  They were only 60¢ each.  And some had characters on them, while some were plain.  I mostly picked from the section without the characters on the items.

So first I found this Rubix cube, it is definitely not Rubix brand, but it's adorable and perfectly sized for the dolls.

There are two pink, blue, green, white, and yellow sides.

The next item is a small paint set.  I just thought it was cute and perfectly size.

The paint set really works!  I hope to use it one day in a photoshoot, hopefully.

And the last item I got is probably my favorite item I picked up.  And I was quite excited when I found this.  It's a barrel of monkeys!

The monkeys are so cute and little.

Molly wanted to be in the picture too.

I hope you liked the things I found.  Have a wonderday!
